PRIOR TO THE CITADEL: Redshirted in 2009 at North Greenville before transferring to Claflin where he played three seasons … has one year of eligibility at The Citadel … batted .370, .372 and .343 in his three seasons at Claflin, scored 103 runs and drove in 81 … named team’s offensive player of the year and to the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) all-star team as a senior … chosen second team all-conference and received team’s Gold Glove Award as a junior … was the third toughest player to strike out in Division II as a sophomore and earned the Coach’s Award … two-time member of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference all-tournament team.
HIGH SCHOOL: A graduate of Northwood Academy after starting high school career at Fort Dorchester … batted .390 as a junior and .419 as a senior … was twice named all-region and all-state by the High School Sports Report and selected to play in the SCISA All-Star game … also went 8-0 on the mound his senior season … helped lead Northwood Academy to a record of 25-6 and SCISA Class 3A state championship game … coached by Mike Branham, a member of The Citadel’s 1990 College World Series team and played for Citadel Hall of Famer Donald Morillo with the Charleston Storm … member of the Dean’s List and honor roll.
PERSONAL: Son of Ike and Sharon Bullard … father played football at East Carolina (1963-65), grandfather Boolie Bullard played football and basketball at Wake Forest (1934-35) and brother Kevin played football at Air Force (1986-88) … earned his bachelor of science degree in sport management from Claflin, graduating cum laude with a 3.6 grade point average, and is pursuing master of arts degree in teaching at The Citadel.
