2011: Made nine starts in 17 appearances on the mound while collecting a record of 4-4 with an ERA of 4.38 in his freshman season… struck out 53 batters in 49.1 innings of work which was third most on the team… went 2-1 in six appearances and one start with an ERA of 4.76 in Southern Conference action… made his first career start against Old Dominion (2/27) when he picked up career highs in strikeouts with 10 and innings pitched with 7.0 solid innings of work… earned his first career victory against Appalachian State [2] (3/5) when he went 6.0 innings, allowing one run and struck out six to help the Bulldogs sweep the Mountaineers… started at No. 3 South Carolina (3/30) where he pitched four scoreless innings with three strikeouts before running into trouble in the fifth inning and allowing four runs in a no-decision… fired 6.0 strong innings of work at Charleston Southern (4/19) allowing just one run on four hits… picked up the win over Presbyterian [2] (5/1) after hurling the final 2.1 innings of the game without allowing a hit and striking out three… picked up a tough luck loss at College of Charleston (5/10) in non-conference action as he allowed just four hits and one earned run in 5.0 innings while striking out nine.

High School: Drafted by the Washington Nationals in the 44th round of the 2010 MLB Draft... graduated from Hanahan High School... named to all-state baseball team... named to all-region teams in both baseball and football... earned .385 career batting average... recorded 100 strikeouts as a pitcher in 2009... lettered four times in baseball and three times in football... threw for 2,400 yards and 27 touchdowns as a quaterback.
