2018: Made 14 appearances, with eight starts…went 2-5 with a 7.18 ERA…allowed one run and struck out eight over 7.0 innings to earn victory in first start against Charleston Southern…fanned seven over five innings in a win over Western Carolina…equaled season high by tossing 7.0 innings in a second start against Charleston Southern…gave up just one run over 5.0 innings at Mercer.

2017: Made seven appearances as a sophomore, working 6.1 innings and allowing only two earned runs…Finished the season with a 2.84 ERA…Opened the season with five scoreless appearances...Worked scoreless innings against Stetson (3/11), Dartmouth (3/16), South Carolina (3/28), and Charleston Southern (4/18)…Had six strikeouts on the season.

2016: Made eight appearances and one start on the mound … made collegiate debut against Virginia Tech on Feb. 21, pitching 0.2 innings and giving up one hit ... pitched 1.0 inning against Siena on Feb. 28, allowing two hits and registering first career strikeout … worked 2.2 innings of relief against No. 19 Clemson on March 15 and struck out a career-high four batters … made first career start at Charleston Southern on April 5 … threw 1.0 scoreless frame against Georgia Southern April 20, allowing just one hit and striking out two … fanned one against No. 10 South Carolina on May 17 … finished the season with 6.1 innings pitched and eight Ks.

High School: A 2015 graduate of West Ashley High School … was a part of the varsity baseball team all four years … batted .405 and went 6-2 on the mound with a 2.11 ERA junior season … earned All-Region honors junior year.

Personal: Jordan James Merritt … born June 30, 1997 … son of Jamie and Teresa Merritt … cousin, Nic Riddle, played football at Clemson for four years … majoring in civil engineering.
