2025: Appeared in 19 games, starting three on the mound…posted a 4.11 ERA in 50.1 innings pitched…finished the season with a 3-5 pitching record, also collecting two saves…1.47 WHIP was third-best on the team among pitchers with over 25.0 innings pitched…tied for fourth on the team with 29 strikeouts on the season…pitched 4.2 innings against Maine, allowing just two hits and one run while striking out a season-high five batters…pitched 3.0 scoreless innings against Maine, striking out three while giving up two hits…only pitcher with over 25.0 innings pitched that did not give up a triple on the season…gave up just one home run in 50.1 innings pitched…threw three scoreless frames against Mercer…tossed 4.2 scoreless innings against Wofford, giving up three hits and striking out four batters…had streak of four consecutive appearances without giving up an earned run…finished the season by throwing 7.0 innings against Mercer, allowing just one earned run while striking out four batters.

2023: Appeared in 13 games, making one start…struck out 12 over 17.2 innings…made collegiate debut against Charleston Southern…retired all three hitters over two appearances against LIU…struck out season-high three over 1.1 innings at South Carolina…tossed a scoreless inning against Holy Cross…earned first collegiate start against CSU…allowed four hits and struck out two over 5.0 innings in a no decision.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for head coach Scott McLeod at Chapin High School…ranked as the No. 12 right-handed pitcher in the state by Prep Baseball Report…also lettered in football, earning all-region honors as a junior…member of the National Honor Society.
 
PERSONAL: Son of Caoline and Chuck Bland…father played baseball at Furman…comes from a long line of Citadel graduates…great, great uncle, Martin Luther Merchant Jr, was the Regimental Commander in 1935…grandfather, William Judson Thomason played baseball for the Bulldogs…uncles, Kenneth and Jeffrey, were members of the Summerall Guard…cousin, Martin Luther Marchant III is a 1981 graduate…majoring in business.
