JUNIOR (2016): Appeared in 117 sets, started 18 matches and recorded 253 kills, which ranked third most on the team … averaged 2.16 kills per set and recorded a season-high 17 kills on Sept. 2 at Georgia Southern … finished the season with 11 service aces … posted 149 digs and averaged 1.27 per set … had a season-high 22 digs in the first game of the season against Morehead State on Aug. 26 … tallied 28 block assists for a 0.24 block per set average … posted a season-high four block assists in win over South Carolina St. on Oct. 13.

SOPHOMORE (2015): Appeared in 26 matches and 59 sets for the Bulldogs as a sophomore… Wrapped up her second campaign at The Citadel with 62 kills, 53 digs, five service aces, five total blocks and four assists… Boasted a .750 attack percentage in a 3-1 win over Alabama A&M… Played four sets vs. New Orleans and tallied four kills… Helped steer the Bulldogs to a 3-0 victory at Savannah State with six kills (.357 attack percentage) and a dig in two sets… Saw action in three sets vs. both Wofford and Chattanooga and racked up a combined 11 digs during the two matches... Posted eight kills and four digs in a gritty loss at Western Carolina… Put together a stellar performance in the rematch with the Catamounts, securing her first career double-double with career-highs in kills (15) and digs (12) while playing in five sets for the first time as a Bulldog… Racked up double-digit kills for the second time with 11 vs. Mercer and added six digs in five sets… In the regular season finale, finished with two kills at Wofford.

FRESHMAN (2014): Wrapped up her first season at The Citadel with 19 digs, nine kills, two service aces and one assisted blocks … played two sets in the season opener against Southern Utah, notching one service ace … emerged with a season-high seven digs in the Dogs’ five-set battle with Alabama State at the ISTAP Collegiate Cup 2 … posted four digs and two kills in The Citadel’s three-set victory over Savannah State on Oct. 7 … tallied three digs and two kills in the Dogs’ sweep of Savannah State on Oct. 28.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2014 graduate of Landrum High School in Spartanburg, S.C. ... guided her team to the regional championship of the South Carolina state volleyball playoffs … earned all-region and all-state honors … named to the 2A/1A North All-Star team as a senior where she was named Most Valuable Player … recognized as Region I 2A Volleyball Player of the Year in her senior campaign … received the team’s Offensive Award and was named all-region as a junior … wrapped up her sophomore season by being named all-region, South Carolina “A” Conference all-star and the team’s Offensive Award winner … two-sport athlete that also competed in track and field … competed at the 2013 Upper State and State Championships in track, where her team was state champions for JROTC … was the Coaches Award and Peak Performer Award winner in track as a senior.
 
PERSONAL: Carla Carin Bruce … daughter of Danny and Lazetta Bruce … member of the National Honors Society, Beta Club, Interact and served as a Landrum High School Student Ambassador … majoring in biology.
