SOPHOMORE (2014-15): Opened the 2015 Outdoor season with a third place finish in javelin at the Palmetto Classic … rebounded from a pair difficult outings to finish 15th in javelin competition at the Terrier Relays with a 131-0 … posted back-to-back fifth place javelin performances at North Florida Twilight (145-9) and Lowcountry Collegiate Invitational (131-2) … ended his sophomore campaign at the 2015 SoCon Outdoor Championships by placing 13th in javelin competition with a 131-10… participated in only one event, SoCon Championships, during the Indoor season where he placed 13th in the javelin (131-10).

FRESHMAN (2013-14): Began competing for the team in the Outdoor season at the Coastal Carolina Invitational … made his first top five finish in the javelin event of the Savannah State Twilight, placing fourth overall with a heave of 132-7 … continued his solid season at the Carolina’s Cup when he made a fifth place toss (135-9) in javelin … closed out the campaign with a javelin heave of 149-10 at the 2014 SoCon Outdoor Championships.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in football, swimming and track and field… named team captain for swimming and track and field in2013 … earned Suburban One All-League honorable mention… placed fourth at Suburban One League conference.

PERSONAL: Son of Jerome and Pamela Butkus … majoring in biology.
