INDOOR: Competed in three indoor meets … Competed in both the 60-meter dash and the long jump at the Gamecock Opener (1/17-18/20), posting a time of 7.39 in the 60m and starting the year with a leap of 5.93m (19’ 5.5”) in the long jump … Improved both his 60-meter time and his long-jump distance at the Carolina Challenge (1/31-2/1/20), recording a time of 7.29 in the 60m and a season-best leap of 6.16m (20’ 2.5”) in the long jump … Wrapped up his second season in Charleston with a personal-best time of 7.28 in the 60m, and posted a jump of 6.05m (19’ 10.25”) in the long jump at the South Carolina Invitational (2/7-8/20).
FRESHMAN (2019)
OUTDOOR: Competed in two outdoor meets … At the Buccaneer Invitational (3/23/19), ran a time of 11.72 in the 100-meter dash and placed sixth in the long jump with a leap of 6.24m (20’ 5.75”) … Closed out his freshman campaign at the East Carolina University Bill Carson Invitational (4/5-6/19) by running an 11.84 in the 100m and recording a jump of 5.99m (19’ 8”).
HIGH SCHOOL: Played four different sports during his high school career with three years of basketball, a year of baseball, and two years of track & field … Four-year standout at quarterback/cornerback at Science Hill High School in Johnson City, Tenn. … Earned Tri-Cities Elite 11 Player of the Year honors after accounting for over 3,000 all-purpose yards his senior season, leading Science Hill to a 7-3 mark and a 6A playoff berth … Played defense for one snap against Hardin Valley, coming up with a game-saving interception … Went 103-of-169 passing 1,630 yards with 12 touchdowns and five interceptions his senior season … He was also the team's leading rusher with 170 carries for 1,431 yards with an average of 8.4 yards per carry and 22 touchdowns … Was a three-time all-conference selection and was named WJHL Player of the Week three times.
PERSONAL: Son of Gary and Carol Adams … Father played for the Montreal Expos.
