Elissa Reckdenwald is in her first season as the student manager for The Citadel women's soccer program. She is in charge of filming practices and games and helps with equipment and the day-to-day running of the program.
Reckdenwald played soccer and ran cross country in high school at Andrews High School in Andrews, S.C. As a senior, she scored 14 goals and notched seven assists en route to earning the team Most Valuable Player Award. She also earned the Academic Award. She earned the Coaches Award twice, as a freshman and again as a junior, and earned the Defensive MVP Award as a sophomore.
Reckdenwald graduated as the valedictorian of her class and was the president of Andrews High School's National Honors Society and Science NAtional Honors Society. She was also a Girls State delegate and Yawkey Scholar.
Reckdenwald is the daughter of Elizabeth Waldrop, Robert Waldrop and Rob Mims. He father, Robert E. Mims, IV, is a 1993 graduate of The Citadel Hotel Company. She is majoring in intelligence and security studies.
