Charleston, S.C. - The Citadel cross country teams will race in their last meet before the Southern Conference Championships when they head to Rock Hill, S.C. to compete in the 2009 Winthrop Asics Fall Classic on Saturday, Oct. 17 at Winthrop Coliseum and Farm. The men's 6k race with begins at 10 a.m. while the women's 4k race starts at 10:45 a.m.

The Last Run
The Bulldogs participated in the Furman Invitational on Oct. 10 in Greenville, S.C. and both teams had a successful event. The Bulldog men finished sixth out of 15 teams with freshman Kyle Keene leading the way with his sixth place finish. Brendan Kight followed finishing 17th and Chris Fallis placed 19th in the 8k course. Zach Yereb crossed the finished line 41st while John Gatewood and Atom Young rounded out the top 50 for The Citadel placing 43rd and 45th, respectively.

The women finished eighth out of 16 teams. Katheryn Gatewood led with her 38th finish in the 5k course. Natalie Wolin placed 40th, Suzanne Gay finished 47th while Micah Wessinger closed out the top 50 for the women with her 49th finish.
