SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Citadel cross country program compiled a competitive performance at the USC Upstate Invitational, as the men's squad notched 11th overall in the 8k while the women's team slotted in at 18th for the 5k Saturday morning at Milliken Arboretum.
Once again,
Carson Diggs served as the lead Bulldog on the men's side, grabbing 80th overall behind a 26:35.4 mark.
Wyatt Carey posted a new personal best via a 27:06.2 time while
Owen Sharnas registered a new season-fastest at 27:09.3 as the duo finished 106th and 107th, respectively.
Jack Wallace at 120th and
Holden Tutich at 141st rounded out the scoring runners for The Citadel.
On the women's side, Abby Thiessen led the pack at 114th with
Caroline Plummer (135th) and
Brylee Deering (146th) falling in just behind.
Emily Brant and
Caroline McClelland closed out the scoring positions for the Bulldogs at 151st and 159th, respectively.
