CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Bulldogs open their home tennis slate against Coastal Carolina on Sunday at the Earle Tennis Center at 2:30. The match was originally scheduled for Friday but postponed to Sunday due to expected inclement weather.
The Citadel enters Sunday's match with a 1-3 record while Coastal sits at 1-1 after defeating No. 73 East Carolina on Jan. 19.
The Bulldogs swept Spartanburg Methodist College on Jan. 17 to pick up their first win of the season. In singles play, The Citadel saw strong performances from freshmen Nick Bradley and
Artemie Amari, who held the No. 1 and 2 spots against the Pioneers.
Last year, The Citadel fell to the Chanticleers 7-0 but earned a victory in the No. 2 doubles spot with
Connor Grady and
Oliver Dedding outlasting Ted Nilsson and Jabor Al-Mutawa.Â
