CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel tennis team will travel to Lawrenceville, Ga., on Saturday for a 10 a.m. match against Georgia Gwinnett College at the GGC Tennis Facility, followed by a 5:30 p.m. match against Georgia Tech at the Ken Byers Tennis Complex in Atlanta.
The Citadel netters enter Saturday's match against Georgia Gwinnett coming off a tough 7-0 loss to Coastal Carolina to open their home slate. The Bulldogs are 1-4 going into this weekend's competition.
Georgia Gwinnett started the 2015 campaign with a preseason No. 1 ranking in the NAIA after finishing 21-0 last year. The team is led by All-Americans Matias Hatem and Connor Clements. This will be the first competition between the Bulldogs and the Grizzlies.
Georgia Tech enters Saturday's action with a 3-0 record and will face East Tennessee State at 10:30 a.m. before playing the Bulldogs. The Yellow Jackets are coming off a 6-1 victory over Furman.
