CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel volleyball team posted a 25-21 win in the second set before falling to Furman 3-1 in McAlister Field House on Friday.
"We definitely had the rebound I was looking for after our performance on Tuesday," head coach
Craig Mosqueda said. "Furman is a very good team and we had them on their heels tonight."
Senior
Rachel Keefer provided a team-high 32 assists for The Citadel, along with 11 digs for her ninth double-double of the season. Junior
Samantha Espy also recorded a team-high with 15 digs.
Sophomore
Moriah Smith led the Bulldogs in kills, with 13. The outside hitter also recorded seven digs and two block assists on the outing.
With her eight kills, sophomore
Zuri Fenderson earned a team-high attack percentage of .429, along with a solo block.
