CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel tennis team will travel to Colorado Springs, Co., for three weekend matches against Grand Canyon University, Metro State and Air Force.
The Bulldogs take on Grand Canyon University Saturday, Feb. 15 at 10 a.m., followed by an afternoon match against Metro State at 4 p.m. The Citadel will then battle Air Force on Sunday at noon.
The Citadel holds a 2-7 record going into this weekend's matches. The netters picked up a 5-2 win over Murray State University before falling 7-0 to Butler last weekend.
Grand Canyon enters Friday's match with a record of 1-3, nabbing their first win against Western New Mexico last weekend.
Metro State holds a 3-3 record this season and recently suffered a tough 3-4 loss to University of North Colorado.
The Bulldogs will look to revenge last year's 7-0 loss against Air Force on Sunday at The Citadel's Service Academy Tournament. Air Force is 2-2 in the 2015 and recently beat Montana State, 5-2.
