CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel tennis team will battle No. 34 Minnesota and No. 19 North Carolina on Saturday at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., respectively, at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center in Chapel Hill, N.C.
Minnesota enters Saturday's match with a 7-3 record overall after losing to Harvard on Feb. 21 by scores of 5-2.
The Gophers are led by the freshman duo of Felix Corwin and Matic Spec who hold a combined 37-7 singles record and have gone 14-3 in the spring, helping Minnesota to a 7-3 team record with three wins over ranked opponents.
North Carolina goes into Saturday's match ranked 19
th in the country after falling to top-ranked Oklahoma on Saturday, 4-1. The Tar Heels stand at 9-5 and are led by junior Brett Clark who nabbed the only win against the Sooners. Clark holds a 5-1 record at the No. 3 spot for UNC.
The Bulldogs dropped two tough matches against East Carolina last weekend and enter Saturday's matches with a 2-12 record overall. This will be The Citadel's tenth straight match on the road.
The Citadel has seen strong play from freshmen

Nicholas Bradley. The duo picked up wins in the No. 3 and 4 singles positions against ECU.
