Georgia Southern led by a single goal heading into halftime but
Tori Zeltner quickly scored the equalizer only 45 seconds into the second half. The Citadel totaled eight shots in the game.

Kim Maldonado and
Emilie Valenciano led the team with two shots each.
Sam Waarum played all 90 minutes and
Ray Brown logged 73 minutes of game action.

Freshman
Abby Koger got the start in the net for the Bulldogs and tallied five saves in the first half.
Sam Millspaugh totaled four saves in the second half. The Citadel had nine saves to the Eagles' three. Â

The Bulldogs open the regular season with two non-conference road games. First up is UNC Asheville with a 7 p.m. start on Aug. 21 followed by a 2 p.m. contest against USC-Upstate on Aug. 23.
