CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel men's and women's cross country teams will begin their seasons on Saturday in Columbia, South Carolina, at 9 a.m.
 
The Bulldogs finished the 2014 season at the Southern Conference Championships with the men placing 10th and the women finishing in ninth. Both men's and women's best finishes came at the Will Wilson Citadel Invitational when both groups took first place.
 
Jessica DeWitte returns for her senior campaign after competing in all seven races last season. The Macomb, Michigan, native posted her personal best in the 5k distance at the Southern Conference Championship last year, crossing the finish line in 19:15.9. DeWitte then posted her personal best in the 6k a couple of weeks later at the NCAA Division I Southeast Regional Championships, finishing in 23:44.5.
 
Michael Lantz also returns for his sophomore campaign and will build off an impressive freshman year after competing at the NCAA Division I Southeast Region Championships in the 10k event and finishing with a personal-best 33:45.5.
 
Results from Saturday's 5k will be available upon completion of the race.
