BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Citadel women's soccer team was defeated by Southern Conference foe Samford on Sunday afternoon 3-0.

Samford (7-3-2, 3-1 SoCon) scored first in the contest, taking a 1-0 lead on a goal in the 29th minute. Samford added another goal in the 59th minute after a shot from 15 yards out found the back of the net to make it a 2-0 lead. Samford tallied its third goal of the game at the 64 minute mark on a penalty shot.

Logan Leask, making her ninth start in goal this season, tallied four saves in the first half and finished with 10 in the match. The Bulldogs (3-8, 0-4 SoCon) had seven players play the full 90 minutes in the game.
