SPARTANBURG, S.C. –The Citadel women's soccer team downed Wofford 1-0 on Thursday evening, marking the first time in program history the Bulldogs earned a win over the Terriers on the road.

Samara Nche scored the lone goal in the 11th minute of the contest to give the Bulldogs (4-8, 1-4 SoCon) a 1-0 lead. Nche received the ball from
Katherine Arroyo, broke away from her defender and snuck a low shot past the goalkeeper for her third goal this season. The Bulldogs headed into the halftime break with five shots and three shots on goal.

The Bulldogs' defense held strong against Wofford (2-11-1, 0-4-1 SoCon) in the second half, holding the Terriers scoreless en route to the 1-0 win. Freshman
Logan Leask notched six saves and the Terriers were held to just 11 shots in the game.

Offensively,
Emilie Valenciano continued her strong play as the sophomore tallied five shots and two shots on goal in 84 minutes of play.
Ray Brown finished the match with two shots in 29 minutes of action.
