CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel tennis team returns to play on Friday against Lee in Cleveland, Tennessee.
Freshman
Noah Nawabi leads the Bulldogs (4-9) with five total wins in singles and also has a team-high four wins in doubles with senior
Connor Grady.
Nawabi defeated Austin Green from Spartanburg Methodist 6-1, 6-2 at the No. 2 position on February 11. Grady and Nawabi most recently won by an impressive 8-0 score over USC Sumter's Gibril Kinani and Daniel Ramirez-Zuluaga at the No. 2 position.
Sophomores
Trey Davis,
Matthew Henson and
Roy Hobson are tied for the team's second-most wins this season at four. Sophomore
Michael Anzalone and freshman
Isaac Stolar have the team's second-most wins as a doubles duo with three.
The match against Lee will be the Flames' first of the season and is set to begin at 2 p.m.
The Bulldogs will then take on Point and Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia, on Saturday before competing against Oglethorpe and Emmanuel on Sunday.
