CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel tennis team heads to Sumter, South Carolina, to compete in the USC Sumter Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
The Bulldogs (1-8) are coming off of their first win of the season with a 7-2 victory over Spartanburg Methodist on February 4.
Freshman
Jack Pyritz leads the Bulldogs with two singles wins this season. Pyritz has defeated Clemson's Marshall Dagostine 6-0, 6-3 at the No. 6 position and Jacob Gault from Spartanburg Methodist 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 4 spot.

Connor Grady and freshman
Noah Nawabi hold a team-high two victories. Grady and Nawabi won 6-3 over North Carolina State's Chris Mikrovas and Sean Burnette and defeated Spartanburg Methodists' Clayton Hernandez and Daniel Stacy 8-1, both at the No. 3 position.
The Bulldogs are set to begin the tournament at 10 a.m. on Friday against Benedict and will face USC Sumter at 5 p.m. The Bulldogs will return to play Coker on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. and Spartanburg Methodist at 1:30 p.m. Results will be available at the conclusion of the matches on CitadelSports.com.
