Box Score CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel tennis team dropped its match against Stetson on Thursday at Earle Tennis Center.
Sophomore
Michael Anzalone and freshman
Isaac Stolar grabbed a 7-5 win for the Bulldogs (8-15) in the doubles competition at No. 2 against Stetson's Angus Bradshaw and William Shkrob. Senior
Connor Grady and freshman
Noah Nawabi put up a fight at No. 3 against Graham Ball and Coilin MacNamara for Stetson, but eventually fell in a close 7-6 match.
In the singles competition, Nawabi defeated Stetson's Bradshaw by a score of 6-1, 7-5 to clinch the single team point for the Bulldogs. The Hatters swept the remaining singles matches to earn a 6-1 win.
The Bulldogs will host Richmond (10-2) for a doubleheader on Saturday at the Earle Tennis Center. The Spiders are on a nine-match winning streak and will face the College of Charleston on Friday before taking on the Bulldogs.
The first match against Richmond is set for 9 a.m. with match two scheduled to follow at 2 p.m. Results for both matches will be available at CitadelSports.com.
