CHARLESTON, S.C. – The 22
nd-ranked Citadel mixed rifle and women's teams have just three more matches scheduled for this semester, including the final home match of the semester this weekend.
The Bulldogs will play host to No. 4 TCU and No. 23 Georgia Southern this weekend at the Inouye Marksmanship Center.
The fourth-ranked Horned Frogs enter the weekend led by
Rachel Garner,
Liz Marsh and
Kristen Hemphill after losing all-american
Mindy Miles to graduation.
Georgia Southern has been led this season by
Rosemary Kramer,
Courtney Weekley and
Rachel Gray.
Last weekend, the Bulldogs' mixed rifle team finished second behind No. 24 UAB and ahead of Wofford at home. Sophomore
Max Brabston led the charge with a third-place finish overall as he recorded an 1143, including an impressive 582 in air rifle after recording a 561 in three-position smallbore. His 582 was the third-highest score in air for the match while his smallbore score placed him fifth overall.
Senior
Allison Auten finished sixth overall with an 1131, including a 564 in smallbore and a 567 in air. She finished fourth overall in smallbore and led the team.

Alexander McAlear and freshman
Izzie Blystone each notched top-10 overall finishes as McAlear wrapped up his day ninth with an 1121 while Blystone finished 10
th with an 1116. McAlear started his day off with a 10
th-place showing in smallbore with a 549 while Blystone recorded a 555, the eighth-best score in the discipline at the match. McAlear followed that up with a ninth-place, 572 in air while Blystone ended up 14
th with a 561.
Senior
Leah Wallace recorded a personal best in air rifle with a 575, which placed her seventh in the discipline. She started her day off with a 534 in smallbore.

Shay Littlejohn's 1070 led the women's team. Littlejohn was just one point off her personal high in smallbore with a 523 and ended air rifle with a 547.

Lauren Pringle finished second on the women's team with a 1051, comprised of a 511 smallbore score and a 540 air rifle mark.

Abby Koger and junior
Tierra Price rounded out the women's team's scoring. Price shot a 1021 (501 smallbore, 520 air rifle) while Koger ended her day with a 973 (466 smallbore, 507 air rifle).
