CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel women's soccer team fell 3-0 to Western Carolina Friday afternoon in a Southern Conference game played at WLI Field despite holding a 17-13 advantage in shots.

How it Happened
- Western Carolina went up 2-0 in the early going and controlled the early going of the game.
- Most of The Citadel's shots in the first half came in the closing minutes of the period.
- The Citadel opened the second half by being more aggressive and led the Catamounts 12-2 in shots in the second period at one point.
- Western Carolina held a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks in the first period, but the 'Dogs bounced back with five in the second half.
