CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel women's soccer team put forth one of the best Friday efforts of the season Friday afternoon, but Mercer was able to escape Washington Light Infantry (WLI) Field with a 1-0 Southern Conference win.

How it Happened
- The two sides worked to a scoreless tie through the first half despite Mercer out-shooting the Bulldogs 10-3.
- The Bulldogs came out in the second half and immediately put pressure on the Mercer defense, getting off two quick shots and a couple of quick corners.
- Mercer ended the game with a 10-8 advantage in corners after holding an 8-0 advantage in the first half.
- Jordyn Ebert (6-4-3) earned the win between the pipes for Mercer while Kelly Brahmbhatt (6-6) accepted the loss. Both keepers played the full 90 minutes.
- Brahmbhatt made six saves on the afternoon.
Next Up
The Citadel will be off until Thursday, Oct. 11 when the Bulldogs head to Greenville to take on Furman. The 'Dogs and Paladins will kick off at 7 p.m.
