CHARLESTON, S.C. – The baseball game between The Citadel and South Carolina scheduled for tomorrow night (Tuesday, March 20) has been moved to Founders Park to avoid the thunderstorms that are projected for the Charleston area all day Tuesday.
First pitch for the game will remain at 7 p.m. Live stats and a live audio broadcast will be available via CitadelSports.com.
Tuesday's game is the first of a home-and-home series with the Gamecocks. The game scheduled for Tuesday, April 10 has been moved from Columbia to Joe Riley Park with a 7 p.m. first pitch.
Tickets already purchased through The Citadel box office for tomorrow night's game can be redeemed for the rescheduled game on April 10. If fans cannot make the makeup date, tickets can be exchanged in person at The Citadel athletic department box office for a different home Citadel baseball game.

Tuesday night will be the 182
nd meeting between the two programs on the baseball diamond with South Carolina owning an all-time record of 132-48-1 over The Citadel. Last season, the nationally-ranked Gamecocks claimed both meetings, including a 12-5 win in Columbia on Tuesday, March 7.
This season, the Gamecocks are 13-7, including 13-5 record at home. South Carolina is coming off a 2-1 series loss at home to No. 2 Florida, but the Gamecocks are 4-1 so far this season in midweek tilts.
At the plate, the Gamecocks have been led this season by
Madison Stokes' .412 batting average, including five home runs and five doubles. Stokes is slugging an impressive .804 and boasts a .545 on-base percentage.
L.T. Tolbert boasts a team-best 20 runs batted in while
T.J. Hopkins has scored 22, two ahead of
Noah Campbell.
On the mound,
Logan Chapman has five appearances on the year, including four starts. He is 1-0 in 16 innings of work and owns a 3.38 ERA to go along with 20 strikeouts compared to giving up 17 hits, six earned runs and eight walks.
UP NEXT
Following the midweek game at South Carolina, the Bulldogs will return home to open Southern Conference play against Western Carolina. The Bulldogs and Catamounts will begin the three-game series with a 6 p.m. first pitch on Friday, March 23. The two will continue with a 2 p.m. game on Saturday, March 24 and will close out the series with a 1 p.m. first pitch on Sunday, March 25.
