CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel Bulldogs will try to build on a weekend series win over Charleston Southern then they play a pair of midweek affairs with Georgia and Winthrop. Tuesday's game with Georgia is at Riley Park at 4 p.m. while The Citadel leaves Charleston for the first time this season on Wednesday to face the Eagles at 6 p.m. in Rock Hill.

The Bulldogs put together their most complete back-to-back games of the season with 16 consecutive scoreless innings against CSU in a pair of wins to close out the weekend and take the series. CSU scored in the first on Saturday in an 8-1 loss and not against until the ninth of a 6-2 loss on Sunday.

Jordan Merritt both picked up wins combined for 13.0 IP and one earned run. OF
Taylor Cothran batted .438 for the week, his best of the season and hit a solo home run on Sunday.

The Citadel plays 14 times in the span of 19 days leading into SoCon play. The Bulldogs open a four-game series with UConn on Friday night at Riley Park.

Georgia is touring Charleston after three games at College of Charleston over the weekend and a rare Monday game against Charleston Southern. The Bulldogs are 7-4 overall heading into Monday's game after CofC sweeping the weekend series this weekend. The Bulldogs opened the season with a series win against Georgia Southern and followed with a sweep of Charlotte.
Keegan McGovern leads the Bulldogs with a .400 average and is among national leaders with six home runs.

Winthrop is 4-8 on the season and coming off a 1-2 weekend against Kent State. The Eagles have already faced Ole Miss three times, South Carolina, and Clemson. Outfielder
Alex Raines leads Winthrop among everyday players with a .300 average and nine hits. Winthrop is batting .242 as a team, but has faced No. 7 Ole Miss among others.
