The Bulldogs (5-7) enter the weekend having won their last two weekend series over La Salle and Charleston Southern, but dropped a pair of tough midweek games to Georgia and Winthrop earlier this week.
In both of the last two games,
William Kinney led things off for the Bulldogs with a double to set himself up to score the first run of the game for The Citadel. Kinney is currently batting a team-best .400 with six extra-base knocks and nine runs batted in.
Jonathan Sabo is second on the team with 17 hits, including six that have gone for extras and
Ben Peden has matched Kinney with nine RBIs.
J.D. Davis has also proven to be a difficult out for opponents as he boasts eight hits and 10 walks.
The Huskies (5-4) head into the weekend having split their last two series, claiming one over Southeastern Louisiana and dropping last weekend's 1-2 at North Florida. UConn was supposed to play a midweek game at home against Yale, but it was canceled.
At the plate,
Troy Stefanski has led the way with a .382 batting average, including two home runs and five runs batted in, but
Zac Susi and
John Toppa are pacing the team with seven RBIs each.
Anthony Prato has a team-best 14 hits and
Isaac Feldstein has scored eight runs.
