Bulldog Soccer Falls 5-0 to UNCG

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel women's soccer team dropped a Southern Conference home game at WLI Field, 5-0, to UNCG, Friday afternoon. Kooba Richard led the Bulldogs' attack with four shots, two on goal, while Kaeley Johnston came in to man the goal for the second half and made seven saves.

How it Happened
  • UNCG came out and scored the first goal of the game nearly 10 minutes into the contest, out-shooting the Bulldogs 11-3 in the opening period. The Spartans ended the game out-shooting the 'Dogs 24-14.
  • Less than two minutes into the second half, the Spartans added the first insurance goal.
  • Kelly Brahmbhatt started the game between the pipes for The Citadel, making five saves before Johnston came in for the final 45 minutes. Johnston made seven saves.
  • Rideout logged eight shots in the game with six being on goal. She ended the game with five points.
  • 19 different Bulldogs saw action.
