
Track and Field Travels to VMI Team Challenge

CHARLESTON, S.C. -Â The Citadel track and field teams will head to Lexington, Va. on Saturday, Jan. 26 to participate in the VMI Team Challenge, hosted by the Keydets. The VMI Team Challenge will tally up the points received from the individual events and total them to yield team scores.Â
THE FIELDÂ
Along with the Bulldogs, the field will consist of nine teams, four of which are Southern Conference opponents:Â
The Citadel, East Tennessee State, Charleston Southern, Western Carolina, Appalachian State, Virginia Military Institute, S.C. State, Radford, Robert Morris

"The season got off to a pretty good start last weekend and we hope to keep the momentum going this weekend at VMI. The team is very excited about competing on one of the premier indoor tracks in the country, "said Huddleston. "That combined with going up against several SoCon teams will help us determine where we are at this point. We are expecting several good performances from Jessy Page in the weight, Josiah Johnson in the 60m and 200m, as well as Sam Blumer and Devon Merrick in the pole vault."Â
SPECTATOR INFORMATION
Admission to the VMI Team Challenge is free and parking around the facility is free as well.Â
The meet begins at 11:30 a.m. with the men's weight throw and men's long jump. Track events kick off at noon with the women's 5,000-meter run with the meet scheduled to culminate at 5:10 p.m. with the men's 4x400-meter relay.
