RESULTS

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The 22^nd-ranked Citadel mixed rifle team finished second behind No. 21 UAB and ahead of 24^th-ranked Georgia Southern Saturday afternoon at the Inouye Marksmanship Center. The Bulldogs posted an aggregate score of 4519, while the Blazers recorded a 4556 and the Eagles finished with a 4438.

UAB's Sophia Flores led all shooters with an aggregate score of 1155, while the Bulldogs claimed spots two, three and five. Senior Alexander McAlear led the way for the 'Dogs with an 1140 with junior Max Brabston five points behind with an 1135. Freshman Cameron Bates finished fifth overall and third on the team with an 1129.

THREE-POSITION SMALLBORE

• UAB's Flores took top honors in three-position smallbore with a 574, just two points ahead of McAlear's second-place, 572 effort.
• Brabston finished third in the discipline with a 567, while Bates finished seventh with a 561.
• Emily Perkins was the Bulldogs' next highest finisher with a 541, with Jack Wittman rounding out the scoring five in smallbore with a 532.

AIR RIFLE

• Flores also claimed the top spot in air rifle with a 581.
• Perkins bounced back with a second-place 574 to lead the Bulldogs.
• Three Bulldogs swept positions five through seven led by McAlear's fifth-place 568.
• Brabston finished sixth in air rifle with a 568, while Bates finished seventh with a 568.
• Brandon Oerman rounded out the Bulldogs' scoring five in air rifle with a 15^th-place 560.

COMING UP
The Bulldogs will be off from outside competition next week. The Bulldogs will next host a pair of top-10 opponents in a two-day tri match. The 'Dogs will welcome seventh-ranked Navy and No. 9 NC State to Charleston on Saturday, Oct. 26 and Sunday, Oct. 27.
