CHARLESTON, S.C. –
The Citadel women's soccer team closes out the regular season this weekend with a pair of games against in-state foes. The Bulldogs will first welcome Furman to Washington Light Infantry Field on Friday, Oct. 25 at 3 p.m., while Wofford will come to town on Sunday, Oct. 27 for the 2 p.m., regular-season finale.

UPCOMING PROMOTIONS
Friday's game against Furman will feature social media trivia at halftime. Sunday's game will be the final "Ice Cream Sunday" of the season. The first 150 fans will receive free ice cream.

LAST TIME OUT
Despite out shooting ETSU 12-8, The Citadel women's soccer team dropped the final road game of the regular season on Oct. 20, suffering a 3-1 setback to the Bucs in Southern Conference action. Junior Maria Contreras scored the Bulldogs' lone goal in the 37th minute.

BREAKING THE TREND
Contreras' goal in the 37th minute of Sunday's game at ETSU broke a stretch of over 340 minutes where the Bulldogs had failed to score a goal.

MAFER WITH THE SCORE
Contreras now boasts three goals on the year, matching freshman Hayley Long for second on the team. Her three goals scored as a junior has her tied for ninth in program history. She now boasts eight points, 11th most in program history for points scored by a junior.

SUZUKA WITH THE ASSIST
Freshman Suzuka Yosue moved into sole possession of second in program history for assists by a freshman with her sixth of the year on Sunday against ETSU. She is just one away from matching the record set by Lea Raedle in 2013. Yosue now has 10 points, 15th most in program history for points by a freshman.

THE HISTORY WITH FURMAN
Furman holds a 17-2 all-time record over The Citadel and has won the last four games in the series. The Bulldogs last won, 2-1 in Greenville in 2014. The first Citadel win in the series was a 2-1, double overtime victory at home in the 2010 Southern Conference tournament.

SCOUTING THE PALADINS
Furman enters the weekend with an 11-4-1 record, including a SoCon-best 6-0-1 in league action and 4-2-1 on the road. The Paladins have not dropped a match since Sept. 22, when they fell 2-0 at Georgia. The Paladins opened SoCon play on Sept. 27 with a 1-1 draw against Samford, and have shut out every league opponent since, out-scoring their foes 10-0. Furman is led by Kyndal Anderson's seven goals, Erin Houlihan's six goals, three of which have been game winners, and Erin O'Hearn's five goals scored. In total, six Paladins have scored multiple goals. Anderson leads the way with 15 points off her seven goals and one assists, while Isabella Gutierrez is second with 14 points off four goals and six assists. Jasmine Greene leads the team with seven assists and 43 shots. In net, Kellsey Weaver has logged over 1,300 minutes and has started all but one game. She boasts a 0.89 goals against average, has made 46 saves and boasts three solo shutouts.

THE HISTORY WITH WOFFORD
Wofford is 15-4-1 all-time against the Bulldogs, but the series has been an even 2-2 through the last four meetings. The Citadel defeated Wofford 1-0 in Spartanburg in 2016 with the Terriers winning the next two meetings. The Bulldogs were victorious on the road in the opening round of last season's SoCon tournament, winning 3-2. The last Citadel victory in Charleston came in 2012 when the 'Dogs won 3-1.

SCOUTING THE TERRIERS
Wofford is currently 5-10 in head coach Emily Grant's first season, and the Terriers are 2-5 in SoCon play and 2-7 on the road. Wofford started the season by going 3-1 through the first four games, with wins over South Carolina State, Winthrop and Presbyterian. Wofford holds SoCon wins over VMI (2-1) and ETSU (1-0), both at home. Katie Gilligan leads the Terriers offensively with seven goals scored and an assist for 15 points. The only other multi-goal scorer is Cameryn Burke with two. Five other Terriers have scored a goal, and five Terriers boast an assist. Gilligan leads the team with 28 shots taken, including 15 on frame. In between the pipes, Maria Mon has logged over 1,119 minutes in 13 starts. She has made 67 saves and brings a 1.85 goals against average into the weekend.

COMING UP
Following Sunday's game against Wofford, the Bulldogs will turn their attention to the 2019 Southern Conference Women's Soccer Championships. The first two rounds of the tournament will be contested at the higher seeds.
