- With time running out in the first period, Long celebrated her birthday with her third goal of the season.
- Mercer came out on fire in the second half, outshooting the Bulldogs 16-2 in the second half alone.
- The Bears outshot the 'Dogs 25-10 for the game with both sides putting nine shots on frame.
- Mercer managed to tie the game in the 51st minute, but just three minutes later, Dix put the 'Dogs back on top with her team-leading fifth goal of the year.
- Despite the momentum appearing to swing back in favor of The Citadel, Mercer would not be denied as the Bears scored three goals in the final 28 minutes to secure their 10th win of the season.
- Mercer took 13 corner kicks compared to four by The Citadel.

- Following Thursday night's game, Roth boasts three assists on the year, moving her into a tie for second in program history for assists by a junior.
- Roth has recorded nine assists in her career. She is tied with Nicole Martinoli (2007-10) and Lauren Merchant (2002-05) for fourth in program history.

- Freshman Brie Sikes made her collegiate debut Thursday night, playing the final six-plus minutes in between the pipes, while making one save. She is the fourth goalkeeper to mind the net for the Bulldogs this season.

The 'Dogs will return home for a two-game homestand beginning Friday, Oct. 11 against Samford at 3 p.m. The Bulldogs will then welcome Chattanooga to WLI Field for a 2 p.m. game on Sunday, Oct. 13.
