2-Minute Drill
  • The Bulldogs close out the regular season as they welcome Wofford to Johnson Hagood Stadium for Senior Day.
  • Saturday's game will kick at noon on ESPN+.
  • Matt Dean (PxP), Dominique Allen (analyst) and Emily Crevani (sideline) will be on the call.
  • The Bulldogs will honor 19 seniors prior to the start of the game.
  • The meeting is the 73rd all-time between the two schools with the Terriers holding a 42-29-1 advantage in the series.
  • Saturday's game will be a ball possession game as the two teams rank first and second nationally in time of possession. The Bulldogs lead the country at 35:37, while the Terriers are not far behind at 35:11.
  • The game will also feature two of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in the league. Bulldog signal caller Brandon Rainey has rushed for 825 yards and 17 touchdowns, while throwing for 990 yards and 12 touchdowns. Wofford quarterback Joe Newman has run for 845 yards and 13 touchdowns, while throwing for 984 yards and seven touchdowns.
  • Rainey is just 10 yards shy of becoming the first Bulldog to throw for 1,000 yards in a season since Bart Blanchard in 2008.
  • Wide receiver Raleigh Webb caught his 10th touchdown of the season against Chattanooga to become just the fourth Bulldog with 10-plus TD receptions in a season. He is the first to accomplish since Andre Roberts did it in back-to-back seasons in 2007 and 2008.
  • Fellow wide receiver Ryan McCarthy caught his first touchdown of the season when he hauled in a 53-yard pass against Chattanooga.
  • Running back Remus Bulmer had his first 100-yard game as a Bulldog when he ran for 130 yards against Chattanooga. He is the different ball carrier to eclipse the century mark this season.
  • Linebacker Willie Eubanks III filled the stat sheet against UTC with nine solo tackles, 4.0 tackles-for-loss, 2 sacks and a forced fumble.
Inside The Numbers
990 - Quarterback Brandon Rainey is closing in on a 1,000-yard season through the air. The junior needs just 10 yards to become the first signal caller since 2008 to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark.
101 - Linebacker Willie Eubanks III posted nine tackles against Chattanooga and now has 101 on the season. He is the first Bulldog to eclipse the century mark since Kailik Williams in 2016.
17 - Brandon Rainey has also rushed for 825 yards and 17 touchdowns this season. He is one rushing touchdown shy of equaling the all-time mark for rushing TDs by a quarterback set by Ben Dupree in 2013.
10 - Wide receiver Raleigh Webb caught his 10th touchdown pass of the season to become just the fourth player in program history to reach double digits in touchdown receptions in a season.
3,000 - The Citadel eclipsed the 3,000-yard mark for rushing yards this season. It marks the ninth-straight season the Bulldogs have rushed for over 3,000 yards.

On This Date
In 1991, quarterback Jack Douglas scored from two yards out with 6:27 to play to give The Citadel and head coach Charlie Taaffe a 10-6 victory over Furman in front of a then-stadium record crowd of 21,623. Douglas led the ground attack with 71 yards on 30 carries, and the game's only touchdown. He also completed four passes for 70 yards.The victory gave the Bulldogs and coach Taaffe back-to-back seven-win seasons for the first time since the 1980-81 seasons.

The Game
The Citadel closes out the regular season Nov. 23 as they welcome Wofford to Johnson Hagood Stadium. Kickoff is set for noon.

All games this season can be heard live on 92.1-FM/102.1-FM/1450-AM in the Charleston. The new voice of the Bulldogs, Luke Mauro, will be joined by Ted Byrne in the booth.

Saturday's game will be broadcast on ESPN+. Matt Dean will have the call. He will be joined in the booth by Dominique Allen and Emily Crevani on the sideline.

The early forecast is calling for partly sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-60s during the day.

Saturday's game marks the 73rd meeting between the two schools with the Terriers holding a 42-29-1 advantage in the series.


Last Year vs. Wofford
The Citadel fell behind 21-0 nothing before battling back to pull within a touchdown. A late drive ended inside the five-yard line in the 28-21 loss.


Senior Day
Saturday's game will be the final home game for 19 seniors. The group will be honored prior to kickoff.


Time of Possession
Saturday's game against Wofford will feature the top two teams nationally in time of possession. The Bulldogs lead the country at 35:37 per game, while the Terriers are second at 35:11.


499 Yards
The Citadel recorded a season-high 499 yards of offense against Chattanooga. The Bulldogs rushed for 351 yards, while throwing for 148. It bests the previous season high of 412 set against Western Carolina.


Safety
The Bulldogs defense recorded its second safety of the season when the tackled the Mocs ball carrier in the end zone on the opening drive. The Citadel also recorded a safety against Charleston Southern.


Bulmer Over 100 Yards
Graduate transfer Remus Bulmer had his first 100-yard performance as a Bulldog as he ran for 130 yards on just 12 carries against Chattanooga. He has rushed for 469 yards and six touchdowns on the season.


Eubanks Stat Line vs. Chattanooga
Linebacker Willie Eubanks filled the stat sheet against Chattanooga as he posted nine solo tackles, 4.0 tackles-for-loss, 2.0 sacks and forced a fumble.


Closing In On 1,000
Quarterback Brandon Rainey is closing in on 1,000 passing yards this season. The junior enters the final game of the season with 990 yards and 990 yards and 12 touchdowns. He is on pace to be the first signal caller to throw for over 1,000 yards since the 2008 season.


Eclipsing 100 tackles
Linebacker Willie Eubanks added nine tackles against Chattanooga and now has 101 tackles on the season. He is the first Bulldog since Kailik Williams in 2016 to reach the century mark.
