SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Bulldogs completd one of the program's best seasons, dropping their SoCon second round match to Samford, 0-3.

GAME INFORMATION

Tournament: Southern Conference Tournament
Location: Spartanburg, S.C. (hosted by Wofford)

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Citadel came out swinging in the first set, keeping the score within two point till midway through.
Samford answered a commanding kill from Sharlissa De Jesu to mount a six-point run, to take an eight point lead 20-12.
The 'Dogs ralled back to come within three, but Samford held on for a 25-21 victory.
The Samford Bulldogs jumped out early in the second set to a, 6-1 lead over The Citadel.
Samford when on two different four-point runs and a six-point to stretch their lead, ultimately taking the set, 25-12.
Samford started the third set with a six-point run, to go up 7-1 early.
The Bulldog offense struggled to put up back-to-back points, dropping the final set, 25-10.

BY THE NUMBERS

Sharlissa De Jesus led the Bulldogs with eight kills for the match and posted eight digs.
Megan Fuhr put up at otal 20 assists for the day.
Samford's offense closed out the match with a .360 hitting percentage.
