Series History vs. Charleston
The Bulldogs and Cougars have met 91 times prior with CofC holding a 51-40 advantage in the series. The Cougars have won 12-straight games dating back to 2014.

Connolly Earns 2nd SoCon Honor
Shane Connolly was named the Southern Conference Pitcher of the Week after his complete game shutout against VMI. The honor is the second this season for the southpaw, making him the first Bulldog repeat winner since JP Sears won the award three times in 2017.

Conference-Opening Series Win
The Citadel won its conference-opening series for the fourth consecutive season. Over that four-year span, VMI has been the opponent three times.

Judkins Walks It Off
Andrew Judkins delivered one of the biggest hits of his career against VMI when he hit a walk-off single up the middle in the 10th inning to give the 'Dogs the 3-2 victory.

Simpson Steps into Big Spot
Freshman Cole Simpson stepped in a tough spot against VMI and came through clutch. The outfielder was forced into action with a 1-2 count and calmly laced a pitch into right field for a RBI single. He followed it up with another RBI single in his next at bat.

Sugar Shane Deals Another CG
Left hander Shane Connolly turned in his second complete game of the season in a 1-0 win over VMI. The sophomore allowed just four singles in the shutout win.

CG Shutout
Shane Connolly pitched his second complete-game shutout of the season in a 1-0 win over VMI on March 23. He is the first Bulldog hurler with a pair of CG shutouts in one season since Matt Talley had two during the 2010 season.

1-0 Win
The 'Dogs registered a1-0 victory over VMI on March 23. It was the first 1-0 win since May 18, 2017 against Wofford. The Citadel also scored its lone run in the first inning in that contest.

Two Hours and Eight Minutes
The Bulldogs 1-0 victory over VMI lasted two hours and eight minutes. It marked the third time this season that a game has lasted exactly that long. The other two contests were a 5-0 win over Delaware State and a 2-0 loss to Michigan.

On Deck
The 'Dogs hit the road for the first time in conference play as they travel to face Furman March 29-31. The series opener is set for 6 p.m., followed by a 4 p.m. start on Saturday and a 1 p.m. first pitch on Sunday.
