'Dogs Set For Road Test at Clemson

CLEMSON, S.C. - The Citadel hits the road for a midweek matchup at Clemson on May 8. First pitch from Doug Kingsmore Stadium is set for 6 p.m.

Wednesday's game against Clemson can be heard live on ESPN Radio (94.7 FM & 910 AM). The voice of the Bulldogs, Luke Mauro, will have the call alongside Jay Harper.

Temperatures are expected to be near 80 degrees during the afternoon hours.


Series History vs. Clemson
The Citadel and Clemson are meeting for the 104th time on the diamond with the Tigers holding an 85-18 advtange in the series. The teams last met in Charleston in 2016 when CU swept a two-game series.


Flanders First SoCon Start
Freshman Jordan Flanders was impressive in his first conference start as the right hander allowed just two runs, one earned, on four hits over 6.0 innings. He kept Wofford off the board for the first five innings and all four hits allowed were singles.


On Deck
The 'Dogs close out the home portion of their schedule as they welcome ETSU to Riley Park May 10-12. The series opener is set for 3 p.m. and is part of a doubleheader with the Charleston River Dogs.
