YOUNGSTOWN, Oh. – The Citadel volleyball team went 1-1 during the final day of the Penguin Classic. The Bulldogs started the day with a, 3-1 victory over Saint Francis (Pa.), followed by a, 1-3 loss to tournament host, Youngstown State.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Errors plagued Saint Frances throughout the match with a total of 26, leading to a .071 hitting percentage.
- The Bulldogs defense took care of business on the other side of the net with a total of 75 digs to the Red Flash's 54.
- Mellanie King led The Citadel once again with 18 kills. Setter, Megan Fuhr, aided the 'Dogs offense with 32 assists.

- The 'Dogs had just one set with double-digit kills, finishing the match with a .087 kill percentage to the Penguins' .233.
- The Citadel's offense was led by Makaya Middleton and Mellanie King with nine and eight kills, respectively.
- Youngstown State finished the match with three players hitting above .300. Brooklen Pe'a snagged a double-double for the day with 14 kills and 10 digs.

Kenzie Kellerman, was named to the Penguin Classic All-Tournament Team. She notched 54 digs on the weekend with 23 against Youngstown State.
