CONWAY, S.C. – The Citadel freshman Will Ray took home the individual title in the Men's 8K race Friday afternoon at the Chanticleer Challenge.

Location: Hackler Course (Conway, S.C.)
Men's Distance: 8,000 meters (8K)
Women's Distance: 5,000 meters (5K)

Men's Race

Will Ray won the men's race with a time of 27:31.5.
The Bulldogs finished in the top two spots as Ty Duben placed second with a time of 27:59.6.
A trio of Bulldogs placed fourth through sixth as Andrew Smith ran 28:52.5, Devon Heisler 29:29.8 and Robert Perrecone 29:37.9.
Freshman Bryce Baglia finished eighth with a time of 30:33.3

Women's Race

The Bulldog women placed four runners in the Top 10 to finish second at the meet.
Heidi Fortin paced the team by finishing fourth with a time of 21:10.5.
Three Bulldogs finished in spots 8-10 as Gabby Shea ran a 21:56.3, Casey Miller a 22:08.6 and Grace Wolfe a 22:25.0.
Amber Opp placed 12^th with a time of 23:22.0
