Scoring Summary

  • 69' Logan Dix got the ball on a long run and flipped it over the goalie and chased it down for the tap in goal.

How it Happened
  • After a feeling out period for both teams, the Bulldogs started to apply some pressure.
  • That pressure resulted in a corner kick that was converted by Bryant as she buried the ball in the right corner.
  • The Bulldogs kept the momentum into the second half as they played the early part of the half in the offensive end.
  • A long run from Dix ended in a collision with the goalkeeper that resulted in a penalty kick.
  • Dix was unable to take the kick so Contreras stepped up and beat the goalie to the right corner.
  • The long run was just the first for Dix as she followed it up 14 minutes with another. This time, she beat the goalie to the ball and flipped it over her shoulder. Dix was able to chase down the ball and tap it in for her seventh goal of the season.
  • The Eagles had their best scoring chance in the game's final minutes as a shot from outside the box rang off the crossbar. The ball came back out in front and Jess Newton was able to stop a hard shot from point-blank range to preserve the shutout.
