GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Citadel women's soccer team played App State to a 0-0 draw in a neutral-site match at the Wenwood Soccer Complex in Greenville.

Notables
  • The shutout was the first of the season for the Bulldogs and the first since blanking ETSU, 1-0, in the opening round of the Southern Conference Tournament a season ago.
  • The shutout was the first clean sheet for freshman Jess Newton.
  • Newton has not allowed a goal in the last 200:00 minutes of action.
  • The contest marked the second 0-0 draw between the two schools. The last time it happened was Oct. 16, 2009 in Boone.
