Rifle Heads to VMI

LEXINGTON, Va. – The Citadel mixed and women's rifle teams hit the road for the first time this season when the Bulldogs travel to face VMI on Oct. 10. The match is slated to begin at 8 a.m..

The mixed rifle team is coming off victories over Georgia Southern in each of their two events this season. Last weekend, Emily Perkins had an aggregate score of 1158, just narrowly beating out teammate Charlotte Wels (1153) for top honors. Perkins was the top performer in smallbore with a score of 575, while Welsh shot a 588 to lead the way in air rifle.
 
The women's team was led by Riley Nediers (541) in smallbore and Demi Perez (558) in air rifle.
 
UP NEXT
The Bulldogs return to the Inouye Marksmanship Center on Oct. 17 as they take on UAB.
