  • Tyler Cherry continues to emerge as a threat on the outside as he caught four passes for 73 yards, including a 31-yard reception on the game's opening play.
  • Chris Beverly intercepted a pass in the end zone on Samford's first drive of the game. It was his second INT in as many weeks.

Inside The Numbers
4 - The Citadel has been successful on each of its last four surprise onside kick attempts. The Bulldogs pulled off the surprise to start the second half against Samford.
17 - The Citadel overcame a 17-point second-half deficit to defeat Wofford, 28-24, during the spring matchup. The Bulldogs took advantage of turnover to score the game-winning touchdown with 26 seconds remaining.
21 - The Bulldogs put together a 21-play scoring drive against Samford. The drive covered 75 yards and took 10:29 off the clock. It is the second-straight week the Bulldogs put together a drive of at least 20 plays.
75 - Saturday's meeting marks the 75th all-time between the two schools. The Citadel holds a 43-30-1 advantage in the all-time series that dates date to 1916. The Bulldogs won the spring meeting, 28-24, in Spartanburg.
2,086 - Entering his final home game of his career, wide receiver Raleigh Webb ranks second on the school's all-time list with 2,086 receiving yards, trailing only NFL Pro Bowler Andre Roberts on the list.
