Bulldogs Rally to Knock Off Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Citadel got a 57-yard touchdown run from Sam Llewellyn in the fourth quarter, and the defense came up with a pair of interceptions to give the Bulldogs a 24-21 victory over Chattanooga in season finale.

How it Happened
  • Tyrell Price broke loosed for a 75-yard touchdown run on the opening possession.
  • The Bulldogs tied the game on their opening drive as Jaylan Adams finished a 15-play drive with a four-yard touchdown run.
  • The Citadel took the lead early in the second quarter as the offense converted a turnover into a touchdown as Adams hit Summie Carlay on nine-yard touchdown pass.
  • UTC got touchdown runs of nine and five yards from Ailym Ford later in the second quarter to give the Mocs the 21-14 lead at the half.
  • The Bulldogs scored the only points of the third quarter as they used an 18-play opening drive to get convert a 37-yard field goal from Colby Kintner.
  • Sam Llewellyn scored what turned out to be the game-winning touchdown on a 57-yard run with just over six minutes to play.

  • Dominick Poole intercepted a pass deep in Bulldog territory to keep The Citadel ahead late in the fourth quarter. He also added his team-leading ninth pass break-up.
  • Carson Hatchett and Andy Davis each had a team-high five tackles, including four solo stops. Hatchett added a sack and 2.0 tackles-for-loss.
