COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Citadel hits the road for the first of four road games this week as they travel to Columbia to take on South Carolina. First pitch is set for 7 p.m. and can be seen live on the SEC Network.

The Citadel and South Carolina are meeting for the second of three times this season. The teams will meet again in Columbia in April. The Gamecocks lead the all-time series 137-49-1, including an 11-7 victory on March 10.

SoCon Opening Victory
The Bulldogs defeated Wofford in the Southern Conference opener. It marked the second time in the last three seasons the Bulldogs opened conference play with a victory. The Citadel opened 2018 with a 5-1 victory over Western Carolina.
 
Corbitt Has a Doubleheader
Tyler Corbitt had a day at the plate in the conference-opening doubleheader against Wofford. He went 2-for-3 with a homer and two RBIs in the first game and followed it up with a double and a triple in the nightcap.
 
Pilarski Wins SoCon Opener
Right hander Jake Pilarski went 7.0 strong innings to pick up th win in the conference opener against Wofford. He allowed just four hits and struck out six.
