- The Gamecocks got on the board in the first on a two-run homer from Wes Clarke.
- After adding an unearned run in the second, Carolina pushed across three runs in the third on a bases-clearing double off the bat of Jeff Heinrich
- The Gamecocks added a run on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Josiah Sightler in the fourth.
- Ryan McCarthy got the Bulldogs on the board in the fifth when he led off the inning with a home run into the Bulldog bullpen in left center.
- Carolina got the run back in the bottom of the inning on a two-out single from George Callil.
- John Lanier got the Bulldogs on the board again in the eighth with a leadoff home run to left field.
- Brooks O'Brien followed with a base hit and came around to score on Cole Simpson's two-out RBI single to right field.
