Bulldogs Welcome Mercer for SoCon Series

GAME NOTES

CHARLESTON, S.C. –
The Citadel returns to the friendly confines of Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park to face Mercer in a three-game Southern Conference series April 2-3. The series is set to get underway Friday at 5 p.m., and conclude with a Saturday doubleheader starting at 2 p.m.

Weekend Weather

Temperatures are expected to be in the mid-50s for Friday's game, with Saturday being in the low-60s.


Ticket Information
Tickets for all home games are available on CitadelSports.com/tickets or by calling the box office at 843-953-DOGS. Tickets will also be available at the stadium box office starting one hour before first pitch.


Masks Required
All fans inside Riley Park are required to wear a mask when not actively eating or drinking. Fans are also asked to socially distance inside the stadium.


ESPN+
All three games of the Mercer series will be broadcast on ESPN+.


Radio Broadcast
Friday's series opener will be carried in the Charleston area on WQNT - 102.1FM / 1450AM, with the Voice of the Bulldogs, Luke Mauro, on the call.


vs. Mercer
The Citadel and Mercer have met 32 times prior with the Bears holding an 18-14 advantage in the all-time series. The teams last met in 2019. The Bulldogs took the series opener before dropping the final two games.


Corbitt Continues to Swing
Second baseman Tyler Corbitt continued to swing a hot bat in the doubleheader against Western Carolina. The sophomore went 4-for-10 with a home run and three RBIs in the two games.


Jones Goes Deep
Crosby Jones hit the first home run of his career in the first game at Western Carolina. He became the fourth different Bulldog to hit their first career home run this season.


On Deck
The Bulldogs make the short trip across the Ravenel Bridge to take on College of Charleston on April 6 at 6 p.m.
