How it Happened
- The Keydets got on the board first as they converted a 17-yard screen pass midway through the first quarter for a 7-0 lead.
- They doubled the lead on their next possession after a 10-play drive ended with a three-yard touchdown reception from Jakob Herres.
- The Bulldogs got on the board in the second quarter with a 15-play drive that ate up 8:46. The drive ended with Jaylan Adams going over the top for the one-yard touchdown.
- VMI answered back on their next possession with a three-yard touchdown run from Seth Morgan.
- The Bulldogs closed out the scoring in the first half by ending a 17-play drive with a 32-yard field goal off the right leg of Colby Kintner.
- The defense set up the next scoring drive as Marquise Blount forced a fumble that was recovered by Andy Davis.
- Two players later, Adams kept the ball around the right side and raced for a 22-yard touchdown.
- VMI added a field goal late in the third quarter and put the game away with a 50-yard touchdown pass late in the fourth quarter.
