- The Cougars got on the board in the first inning after the first two hitters reached on base hits ahead of a two-out RBI single from Ari Sechopoulos.
- CofC added to its lead in the second on a grand slam off the bat of Harrison Hawkins.
- A pair of Bulldog errors in the third inning helped the Cougars push across three unearned runs.
- The Bulldogs got on the board in the fourth inning after Ryan McCarthy started the inning with a hustle double and stole third. A wild pitch allowed McCarthy to score.
- The Cougars added three more runs in sixth with the help of a two-run single from Donald Hansis.
- The Citadel scored again in the ninth inning after John Lanier started the inning with a pinch-hit double. Wesley Lane drove in Lanier with a single to center field.
