Bulldogs-Cougars Meet Again Tuesday Night

GAME NOTES

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Citadel hosts its final midweek home game of the season as it welcomes the College of Charleston back to Riley Park on May 11. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.

Midweek Weather
Temperatures are expected to be in the low 80s during the day, but a threat of rain appears later in the day.


Ticket Information
Tickets for all home games are available on CitadelSports.com/tickets or by calling the box office at 843-953-DOGS. Tickets will also be available at the stadium box office starting one hour before first pitch.


Masks Required
All fans inside Riley Park are required to wear a mask when not actively eating or drinking. Fans are also asked to socially distance inside the stadium.

Tuesday's game against College of Charleston will be broadcast on ESPN+.

Tuesday's game against College of Charleston can be heard live in the Charleston area on WQNT 102.1FM/1450AM, with the voice of the Bulldogs, Luke Mauro, on the call.


vs. College of Charleston
The Citadel and Charleston are meeting for the third time this season. The Cougars have won each of the previous two meetings this season, winning 5-4 at Patriots Point on April 6, and 11-2 at Riley Park on April 20.


Long Ball
The Citadel utilized the long ball in the middle game against Wofford. The Bulldogs hit three home runs in third inning of the game. Noah Mitchell started the inning with a solo shot, Cam Jensen added a two-run shot and Ryan McCarthy hit a three-run homer. It was the first time the Bulldogs hit three home runs in a game since doing so against Saint Peter's on Feb. 29, 2020.


7-Run Inning
The Bulldogs scored seven runs in the third inning of the first game of the doubleheader Wofford. It was the second time this season The Citadel scored seven runs in an inning. The Bulldogs also scored seven runs in the third inning against Davidson on March 13.


First Career Jack
Left fielder Cam Jansen hit his first long ball of his career against Wofford. The redshirt junior hit a two-run shot to left field as part of an inning that saw three Bulldogs go yard.


On Deck
The Bulldogs hit the road for the final time in conference play as they travel to take on Mercer May 14-15. The series opener is set for 6 p.m. Friday night.
